“Blue Brothers” is from 2005. I was scouting for a location in Spain to shoot a new photograph. I came across this run-down public space. Standing on the plant’s overgrown stage, I realized how it must be as a performer to stand in front of so many people staring at you. That brought me to the idea of putting eyes on the seats. But, often, ideas are one thing, and the outcome is another. After I saw the photo for the first time as a print, It looked more like an alien invasion to me, all these blue creatures in formation, ready to take our world over. And it became “Blue Brothers”.
