It is not that we will push Earth over the edge. Although it may seem that way, our planet is changing because of us. But in the end, we will be the ones pushed over the edge. Simple as that. Earth does not give a shit if our species is existing or not. However, we should, since we are the only living organism on this planet that possesses sufficient cognitive power to comprehend the past and anticipate the future. We have the big picture. The question is, do we take it seriously? I guess only if we have the knives at our throats. We are like teenagers, big bodies and small brains.
